Phone Numbers
If you are in an emergency situation call 911 first to request aid. Many rowing squads carry two way radios and cell phones in the launch with them. It is advised to carry these with you as well as often time coaches and teams on the water can offer aid until or in lieu of EMS. However, when in doubt, always dial 911.

- Look at the Gauge Height graph: 3-4 is normal. As the number goes up so is the river level. At Stage 5 you should be watching for much faster currents, "swirlies" upstream, and debris; the GW race course would be taken out. At 6ft above flood stage you should be questioning why you are out there and what you will accomplish. No small boats or inexperienced crews should be going out. At 7 or higher you are truly taking your life into your own hands and should not be going out.
